A Lifelong Favorite — Hoping for a Return to the Originals I’ve been coming to Dragonfly Café since I was 16 years old (I’m now 30), and it’s always been my absolute favorite restaurant. I’ve followed it through at least three different locations over the years. When I joined the Army, my family even packed up tacos and drove them all the way to South Carolina for my graduation. That’s how much this place means to me. Every time I come home, it’s the one stop I make without fail. It’s not just food—it’s tradition, nostalgia, and love wrapped into every bite. But on this last visit, I noticed some changes to the recipes, and honestly, they were hard to ignore. This isn’t a complaint—it’s a request, from someone who deeply loves this place—to bring back the originals. The magic has always been in the details, and it felt like some of that was missing. That said, the oyster French toast remains hands-down the best thing on the menu. It’s iconic, unique, and perfectly Dragonfly. I’ll continue to support this restaurant with all my heart—it’s meant so much to me over the years. I just hope it stays true to the flavors that made it unforgettable in the first place.

I was so blown away (and not because hurricane Helene was passing close by)! I’m staying at a nearby resort, and the food here is far and away better (and it costs less)! It’s some of the best food I’ve ever had, and now I’m sad because there isn’t one near me. You can taste the fresh ingredients, and the balance of flavors is just perfect! That goes for the drinks too! This place deserves awards, but also, I want it to stay a little undiscovered and accessible . BUT IT SHOULD HAVE ALL THE AWARDS! I need to go back and eat my way through the menu.

A unique spot with something for everyone. We shared the pork skins and queso which was sooooo good. Easily the best pork skins around. I got a burger and my wife got a couple of the tacos. Our server was fun and knowledgeable as well.

Although the service is pretty slow at the time we came as they missed our order, the food is pretty good. I recommend to try the oyster french toast and vegetable bowl for those prefer not too heavy and healthy dish (other dishes are mentioned in the pictures). Definitely try their tacos as well, plenty of options and every type is delicious! Nice patio to sitting outside as the inside is kinda crowded and too dark for me; there are umbrellas so no worry about the heat this summer.

You can try exceptional, unique tacos I had today's special fish taco firecracker shrimp taco those are great! The source was a unique mixture of a lot of different spices. I tried one bite of a duck taco, which was also great! I may consider to get one next time. It was very dog-friendly outside. A lot of dogs were having a great time in a large space

Dragonfly does it again… We eat here about every 3 weeks, if not once a month. Each time, is a different and wonderful experience. The frequent changes of the specials always give us something new to try and it’s always SOO good. Their fall drink menu was wonderful, we loved the Black Flame Candle the most. And more recently, St. Fuchsia Sour and Great Green Macaw have been wonderful. We absolutely adored the mixed berry gazpacho and the five spice duck is always a staple. The oyster mushroom taco was fantastic also. I could go on and on.

The food is so unique, you’ll never make a bad choice no matter what you order. Been here many times and have ordered nearly the whole menu over that time. All of the tacos are great… you can’t go wrong with any of them. All of the ramen and rice bowls are fantastic. The chef and owners here have an amazing vision that definitely works!
